When I was living in Seattle a couple of my cyclist friends started making bike bags in their basement. The bags were rad and well made by people who actually ride. They were adventure cyclists, before the industry started calling it that, and they've stayed true to their original vision and continue to be Dirtbag Adventurers.
Now when we think "bike packing" or "adventure cycling", Swift Industries is one of the first things that comes to mind (just ask the folks at bikepacking.com). So rather than going with some of the other well-known brands that have European distribution but Chinese manufacturing, I decided to stock my shop with the stuff my friends make by hand in The Great Northwest. Makes sense, right?
I'll be sending in our first order early next week (week 21), so if there's anything specific you want to pre-order, let me know. Even their custom bags.
Want to learn more about Swift Industries? Here's their story.
Lastly, don't forget about the Swift Campout. Spots are filling up! So, let's just carry the good stuff.
